Friends of My Family Birth Center are very excited to have DanielleKhoury DPT from Wasatch Physical Therapy joining us for our January Lunch and Learn. This class is open to all women including those who may be well beyond their childbearing years.
Pelvic floor physical therapy is a vital part of pregnancy and postpartum care. As pelvic floor physical therapists Danielle specializes in pelvic floor dysfunction that can be experienced throughout a women’s life. From pelvic girdle pain during pregnancy to perineal trauma to incontinence. We will be answering your questions like: What is pelvic floor physical therapy? Who is it for? What do we treat? How can it help during pregnancy? What is considered “normal” pelvic health? Postpartum recovery and how to return to fitness? Whether you have had one child or five, are currently pregnant, planning a pregnancy or just want to learn more about your pelvic health this class is for you!
Danielle graduated with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Louisiana State University Health Science Center – Shreveport in 2017. She practiced outpatient orthopedics and women’s health in Louisiana prior to moving to Utah. Danielle played competitive soccer and ran track and cross country up until college and continues her love for running now in the trails of the Wasatch mountains. Danielle is specializing in female and male pelvic floor rehabilitation and is passionate about rehabilitation from musculoskeletal dysfunctions that can be experienced during pregnancy and postpartum as well as healing from pelvic pain. Danielle treats each of her patients with individualized care and enjoys helping people return to doing the things they love through the practice of physical therapy.
