Michelle’s Birth Story
I had two miscarriages before this baby, and the birth center team was there for me through those experiences. They cared more about me as a person than about numbers or finances. They made sure I wasn’t left with a financial burden, and they helped me heal emotionally and physically.
During my pregnancy, no matter how worried or scared I was, they were always there to help. They made me feel seen and cared for, unlike the hospital where I sometimes felt like just another number. The birth team was fully invested in me throughout my labor, delivery, and postpartum care.
If I could go back to my first birth, I wish I would have known that birth centers are an option. I didn’t know there was another way besides the hospital. I’m grateful now to know that there are places like this where women can feel fully supported before, during, and after birth.
My recovery at the birth center was the best of my four births. Even though I’m older now and my body feels worn out from having kids, my healing was smoother than ever. The midwives gave me the option to heal naturally at home, and it made such a difference. If I’d known how much better the physical and mental recovery could be with a birth center, I would have done this from the beginning.
The birth center isn’t just about giving birth — it’s about feeling empowered, supported, and cared for. This was the best birthing experience I’ve ever had.
