About
My journey into midwifery started back in college when one of my professors, who was also a midwife, sparked my interest. I remember sitting in her office for hours, asking her to tell me everything about midwifery. From that moment, I was hooked. Over the next few years, I balanced my degree with midwifery courses. After earning my bachelor’s degree, I began a two-year apprenticeship at a busy birth center, where I had the privilege of learning from a diverse group of approximately 10 midwives and attended 98 births during that time. This experience provided invaluable insight and hands-on training. I loved the experience of learning from so many diverse perspectives.
Fast forward through five babies (and five home births!), I am excited to serve families at My Family Birth Center. It is a privilege to do what I love, supporting and empowering women through their birth experiences.
In my free time, I spend time with my family, read, garden, cook new recipes, hike, swim in lakes, and have fun with my five children.
